That has been something that has passed through my mind. But to be honest the only things I would change would be using my kids names. Many moms use nicknames for their families.
I try to not say that we are going to be gone, I usually blog about where we went when we get back, so that way we arent opening up our home to weirdos. I also have a tracking system on my blog that logs every person and their computer that access my blog. I know who read when and where they are coming from. I do like the google blocking code she gave though and will be adding that to my template.
I dont think there is much harm in safe blogging and we have to just trust the Lord to watch over us.
Example: I could just make my children give up there bikes and stay inside all day, as opposed to taking a risk of going outside where people are driving to fast, where we have convicted pedifiles that live on our street, or I can teach them to be safe and have fun and trust The Lord to watch over them.
So my take on it is yes we should be responsible about what we put on our blogs and enjoy life.
Look at the poor Amish girls they just were simply sitting in class and paid the ulitmate price.
Do what makes you feel comfortable!
